My earlier post on this subject, that is, body language was on lighter note. Lets try to find out how serious is, impact of the body language.
When you look to a person, standing firm, holding head high, broad and straight shoulders, shine in eyes, no fear or confusion on face, confidence dripping from toe to head, you get impressed, you get attracted, aren’t you? You will definitely give him your attention or priorty. Yes, one has to work out a lot inside as well outside to achieve this kind of body language or say persona.
Now, think of a situation like, you are dead scared of giant dog of your colony, and it is your bad day, and that dog
follows you for no reason. More you try to shoo him, more it is after you.
As it can be seen clearly, yess.. fear in your eyes. Now try to fake out, as if you are not at all affected with its presence. Do whatever you are doing, at your ease. (Oh Khushi, how can I, I am so sacred of that canine.. Oh god! please save me.
) Control my friend, just work on your body language, you have to show that you are not scared of it.. simple. Oh yeah? is that so simple? Try it, and then shoo that dog… Wow Khushi, it worked… table has been reversed, now it is scared.. and I am smiling, gaining myself back.
This is reverse feedback, that is, from body to brain. Usually our brain controls our body. But in cases of emergencies like this one, it can work in reverse order. Your body fake it, and when it works, your brain support it. One can try this anywhere in life, say it in interviews or public speaking… one can handle any kind of fear. But again, you need to work out a lot, even for faking your body language for that moment of emergency, when your brain is already distorted with intense emotions like fear or anxiety. You have to reach another level, to make your body language strong enough that your brains follow it, make you really fearless.
And, if you think, you are often misread by people around, you need to work on, not only on your inner self, but your outer shell, that is on your body language too. We need to correct our language, whenever we could not convey our things correctly. Right? To avoid miscommunication, or communicate properly in one go, one has to take care of language of the body and as well brain… mind your body language.. definitely lead to more happiness.
